Mike D’ Jais has already delivered a couple of summary productions for Déepalma’s main imprint in the past two years, so his return doesn’t come unexpected. His sound is always deep, warm and chilled, that’s why his new EP serves perfectly as the kick-off release for the new sub label. Both songs, ‘Wonderful Soul’ and ‘Feeling You’, beam with pure positivity throughout as modest percussion elements marry with heady basslines, dancing around dreamy synth pads, resulting in two wonderful pieces of music full of gentle balearic soul.
