Liverpool’s groove specialist James Silk returns to Déepalma Soul with a fresh dose of feel-good energy

James Silk is making his return to Déepalma Soul with a fresh dose of feel-good energy, unveiling his latest two-tracker Yeah! / Deeper, landing 1st May 2026 on the soulful arm of Déepalma Records.

A name long associated with infectious house rhythms and warm, dancefloor-ready textures, Silk continues to refine his signature sound here. From disco-tinged beginnings to releases on heavyweight imprints, his trajectory has always been guided by one simple mission: making people move — and smile while doing it.

Opening cut Yeah! wastes no time setting the tone. Built around a driving bassline, crisp drums and a bold, hands-in-the-air piano riff, the track leans into peak-time territory with ease. A short catchy vocal hook weaves through the arrangement, giving it that undeniable club stickiness — the kind that lingers long after the lights come up.

On the flip, Deeper lives up to its name. While still rooted in piano house foundations, it takes a smoother, more refined route. The groove rolls with a subtler confidence, pairing lush chords with a deeper low-end and a more restrained, late-night energy. It’s a classy counterbalance to its more upfront counterpart, showing Silk’s versatility within a tightly defined sonic space.

This latest outing marks another strong chapter in Silk’s ongoing relationship with Déepalma Soul. Since his 2021 debut On My Mind EP, followed by the standout We Still Feel It / What I Need in 2022, he’s remained a consistent force on the label — not to mention his standout remix work, including flips for Angelo Ferreri and Grace Kim.

With Yeah! / Deeper, James Silk once again delivers exactly what he promises: groove-led, piano-driven house music with soul at its core — built for the club, but just as effective beyond it.
